Filtronic Management Accountant Tim Hargreaves achieves global top 10 result in CIMA exam.

Tim Hargreaves, a member of Filtronics accountancy team, received some exciting news today. In his final case study exam for his Chartered Institute & Management Accountant (CIMA) qualifications, Tim was ranked 6^th in the world!

Tim joined Filtronic straight out of university. He was recruited as part of our ongoing graduate programme after completing an accountancy degree at Northumbria University. With this scheme, Filtronic attracts the talent we need to grow as a business. Tim then started his CIMA exams in 2018, supported by Filtronic throughout.

Tim said: “I’m absolutely delighted to achieve this result, it came as a huge surprise. It’s been a long journey to get here. Working and studying can be a challenge, but Filtronic has been incredibly supportive. I will now take a well-deserved break from my studies, but this result has given me the confidence to aim high.”

As a result of Tim’s success, he has been promoted to the position of Management Accountant. In a statement, Filtronic Chief Financial Officer, Michael Tyerman, described Tim as “a great asset to the team, and his promotion is a reward for all of his hard work and accomplishments. I have seen firsthand how much effort Tim has put into these exams. Our graduate scheme has delivered some impressive results, it is an area we will look to further support moving forward.”
