Low loss filter, ideal for high power

Metal cavity filters
Dual in band combiner | Filtronic PLC
In band combiner| Filtronic

Filtronic has extensive expertise of machined and cast metal cavity filters.

Cavity Filters between the antenna and radio to reduce the effects of other wireless systems on its receiver and to obtain best receiver performance in a real RF environment. Cavity filters offer the user very low insertion loss, steep skirt selectivity, and narrower bandwidths than discrete component filters.

    Product description

Filtronic has extensive expertise of machined and cast metal cavity filters. Traditionally supporting the wireless infrastructure business, where typical demands include low loss, tight rejection specifications, high power, and low passive interm. Cavity filters offer the user very low insertion loss, steep skirt selectivity, and narrower bandwidths than discrete component filters.

Typical products include, band pass and band stop filters, cross-band and in-band combiners for antenna sharing, multiplexers and tunable filters, either factory tuned or field reconfigurable. All designs are fully modelled prior to release using the latest electrical, mechanical, and thermal modelling tools ensuring designs remain compliant over severe temperature ranges.

All filters are 100% tested using Filtronic’s in-house fully automated test suite; recording all RF parameters.

Filtronic’s filter experts improve filter performance through our understanding on parts selection and physical layout, coupled with extensive experience of designing  coils, resonators, as well as the shape and size of the cavity housing.

Each filter is bespoke to our client’s requirements so that they get the optimum performance at the lowest cost.
