AESA radar TRM modules
Transmit and receive modules are the core components of an active electronically scanned array radar (AESA). Using microwaves this latest generation radar system enables the electronic steering of radio waves in multiple directions without moving the antenna. The TRM modules allow multiple signals to be transmitted and received simultaneously.
Electronic warfare (EW)
Electronic warfare utilises the electromagnetic spectrum—signals such as radio or radar—to sense, protect, and communicate. It also enables the capability to disrupt RF or radar signals. Filtronic’s capabilities range a wide number of use cases including jamming and electronic countermeasures (ECM).
Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV)
Filtronic has a range of capabilities within the radio and communications systems and subsystems of unmanned vehicles and drones. These solutions can be applied at ground station as well as on the vehicle and to counter UAV’s.
Co-site interference mitigation
One of the primary challenges within defence communications is the risk of interference caused by malicious users. Filtronic is an expert in interference mitigation, with a track record of recognition and response. Capabilities include the resolution and reporting of interference, whether they are intentional, such as signal jamming or unintentional sources.
