Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and experienced HR Business Partner seeking a new challenge. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the organisational development process by managing employee relations, recruitment, talent development and engagement. As a HR Specialist you will develop an effective, engaging and proactive working partnership with first line managers and colleagues to ensure the provision of timely, professional and effective HR related advice within company policy and legal requirements.

Summary of responsibilities:

  • Partner with business leaders to identify talent needs and develop comprehensive talent management strategies.
  • Lead the design and implementation of talent development programs to build leadership capability, enhance employee engagement, and drive performance.
  • Facilitate succession planning, career development initiatives, and performance management processes to cultivate a high-performing and engaged workforce.
  • Provide strategic HR guidance and support to drive alignment between business goals and HR initiatives.
  • Advise and coach managers to effectively manage all employee relations issues in line with the HR policy
  • Review, and update HR policies and procedures to ensure alignment with best practices, industry standards, and legal requirements
  • Prepare reports and analysis on metrics, trends, and outcomes for management review
  • Attraction Strategy – Creating compelling adverts, promoting a positive employer brand, networking, arranging events, etc.
  • Collaboration &Teamwork – Encouraging teamwork and an inclusive culture; facilitating a knowledge sharing culture
  • Ability to gather and analyse information, produce reports and updates using our HR system for decision making purposes
  • Provide an end-to-end recruitment including supporting job design, advert design and placement, facilitating selection processes and appointment decisions to ensure the business is able to attract an appropriately qualified, experienced and diverse workforce.
  • Support leaders in managing employee relation issues including support and guidance during disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence management meetings to ensure appropriate and sustainable outcomes.
  • Undertake specific HR projects as directed and deliver key HR initiatives
  • Work with the leaders to develop and provide effective health and wellbeing support and resources
  • Full employee lifecycle support: Includes supporting hiring process, facilitating pre-boarding, inductions and new hire check-ins. Performance and engagement programs, offboarding process and exit interviewing.
  • Any other duties as assigned
  • Deputising for the Head of HR as necessary

Skills, attributes and experience

  • Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant field
  • CIPD (preferred but not essential)
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Sage People (HRIS) advantageous
  • Ability to take ownership for tasks and objectives and be able to prioritise depending upon business needs
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple projects and conflicting priorities
  • Approachable, pragmatic, and resilient with a high level of initiative
  • Occasional travel will be required to UK sites
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build trust and credibility at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrable knowledge of current people management issues and best practice
  • Sound UK employment law knowledge
