Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge

A small group of intrepid trekkers from Filtronic are raising money for the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund because we wish to show our support for children and adults born with congenital heart disease.

If you are not already familiar, the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge is a superb but challenging circular route in the Yorkshire Dales, tackling the three peaks of Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen-y-Ghent (and the walking between them). At a little over 24 miles and over 5,000 ft of ascent (and descent), to undertake the challenge ‘properly’, it must be completed within 12 hours!

Please show your support for Rachel Smith, Rob Smith, Jerry Sanham, Mike Weaver, Richard Rushton and Dan Rhodes who all hope to complete this challenge, which commences on Friday 27th April 2018, at 7 am. Let’s wish them all the very best of luck!

The company has also set up a JustGiving page to secure donations for this valuable cause:

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
